Last week we shared with you the most recent news about Josy and Redy– that the surgery had been performed and the only news we had was that we knew they were both OK.  On Friday morning, November 1st, we received a phone call at 4:30am from India.  Josy was on the other end of the line.  His voice ecstatic, he shared the good news that the initial kidney function tests revealed that his new kidney was working perfectly!  The other good news was that he was being discharged that day from the hospital.  Our God is so good!

We’ve since talked with Josy and he and Redy continue to do well– both are recovering, feeling great and are so incredibly thankful that they are out of the hospital and reunited again.

In the next couple of weeks, Redy will return to Madagascar to rejoin his wife and child—he is excited!  Redy has been on a faith journey for many years and we can say with certainty that he has seen and proclaimed the goodness of God’s grace throughout these last 10 months!  Please join us in praying for Redy… that he would come to know Christ personally.  Also please pray for his job status—his employer was quite gracious in holding his job for the last several months but because they have been in India longer than expected, he recently was terminated.

Josy’s kidney function will continue to be monitored on a regular basis until he too, can return to Madagascar.  We can already anticipate the squeals of joy and laughter when Josy, Ana and their son, Joice (4) are reunited with their daughters Jocya (9) and Princia (6).

Once back in Madagascar, Josy will continue to be monitored on a regular basis as well as take anti-rejection medication for the next year or so.  Josy looks forward to the day when he can return to the remote fishing village of Mahabana… to rejoice with the other believers and to give proof once again, that indeed Jesus Christ and the Bible are not taboo!  Please join with us in praying for Josy’s continued healing and functioning of his new kidney as well as for the hearts of many in Mahabana.  Josy’s life continues to rock the very foundation of the spiritual world in Mahabana and we trust that God will continue to use Josy’s life as a living testimony.

The last time we talked with Josy we asked him if he wanted to communicate anything to you all—those who have been following his story and praying for him.

Here are Josy’s words; “Thank you.  Though you didn’t know me you have  faithfully prayed for me and have financially sacrificed in order to help me and my family.  We can never repay the good you have done for us—only God can repay you for the good you’ve done.  Because of God’s provision and goodness— with you financially giving and my brother giving a kidney, I am alive today!  I pray that in time I can meet many of you and thank you in person!”

All because of God and for His glory.
